Founded by Meymuna Hussein-Cattan, an Ethiopian refugee and trained chef, Flavors From Afar was built on a simple truth: migration is beautiful.

Every dish carries a story, recipes passed down, memories carried across borders, and traditions that turn loss into love. Our chefs, many of them refugees, immigrants, and Indigenous cooks, bring their home flavors to the table, creating a shared feast of connection.
